The UT Dance Team | Candace Dwyer
Candace Dwyer

Year: Freshman
Major: Unspecified Business
Hometown: Houston, TX
Member Since: Fall '09

This is Candace’s first year as a member of the University of Texas Dance Team and she could not be more excited for the opportunity to be apart of the team! Candace has been dancing since the age of three and has been doing so competitively since she was in the fifth grade. She is trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, modern, and some pointe, but her favorite style to perform is tap by far. Her training took place at various dance studios over the past fifteen years, but during high school she was a member, and later an officer, of the Langham Creek Bailadoras. She served as Junior Lieutenant and Senior Lieutenant while on the team, going to competitions such as MA, Champion Dance, American, and Crowd Pleasers, and participating in Officer Camp at MA and Crowd Pleasers. Candace hopes to major in International Business and later attend law school. She is also a member of the Freshman Business Association and AIESEC here at UT. When she is not dancing she loves to shop, watch movies, hang out with friends, and be as lazy as possible. Hook ‘Em Horns!
