This is Kayla's fourth year on the UT dance team. She is excited that she is able to keep on with her 15 years of dancing. Before the dance team, she has studied all types of dancing including, jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip hop and pointe. In Katy, Texas, she danced competitively for 8 years with Lesa�s Dance Sations, earning many local and national awards in group and solo dances. Kayla has traveled to Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and other cities for local competitions, and to Orlando, Las Vegas, and Biloxi for national dance competitions. She has done a countless number of performances and workshops, with members of the Houston Ballet and dancers of the Houston Met, to build her dancing abilities. Kayla was also a high school cheerleader during her sophomore and junior years of high school. As a freshman at the University of Texas, Kayla is planning to major in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science. After she receives her degree, she hopes to obtain a job with a company in the New York area.
