This is Lindsey’s second year on the UT Dance Team and she is very excited to dance among such a talented, caring group of girls. She first started dancing at age three at Let’s Dance in Naperville, and developed her love for dance under the instruction of Miss Cheryl. She continued to dance at the School of Performing Arts in Naperville, training in ballet, jazz, hip hop and her favorite, tap. Her talented teachers include Becky Cooper-Rezek, Jessie Young-Novak, Katie Lunn, Phil Brooks, and Gina Dunham. Her freshman year in high school she joined the Naperville Central High School pom team, known as the Arrowettes, and continued all four years, making Varsity as a sophomore. Her senior year she became captain and was on creative team (choreographers). She participated with the Arrowettes in numerous state competitions through IDTA and TDI, with routines in open pom, hip-hop and jazz. Lindsey would like to thank her parents, her dance teachers, Kristen Anderson, her high school poms coach, and her previous and current teams for pushing her to become the dancer she is today. Outside of dance, Lindsey also enjoys playing various instruments, participating in athletic training at UT, doing chemistry homework and watching TV.
