This is Megan’s first year on the UT Dance Team and she is thrilled to be joining such an accomplished group. She began taking dance classes sixteen years ago, and has been dancing competitively for the past twelve years. Megan started her dance training in San Antonio at Studio 10 Dance Center, and studied most recently at Starstruck Academy of Dance in Centennial, Colorado. In high school, Megan was one of only four freshmen who made the Chaparral Varsity Poms Squad. During her four years on this amazing team she had the opportunity to compete at the local, state, and national levels through the Universal Dance Association. As a senior, Megan served as captain of the poms squad, and she frequently choreographed the routines they used for football, basketball, and pep rally performances. While she is trained in ballet, tap, lyrical, pointe, hip-hop, and pom, she considers jazz to be her favorite dance style. Outside of dance, Megan is also involved with the Liberal Arts Honors program. In her free time, Megan loves to watch movies, read, shop, and take pictures. Megan is excited to support the Longhorns this year as a member of such a talented dance team, and to get to know her twenty-three new teammates!
