This is Monica's second year on Texas Dance. She has been dancing since she was 3, and spent most of her training at Palm Valley Gymnastics and Dance where she was a member of the Senior Company for 7 years, and where she was also a member of the competitive gymnastics team. Monica was also a competitive high school cheerleader and was Co-Captain and Captain of her High School's Varsity cheerleading squad. She was an NCA All-American cheerleader 5 years in a row, and won NCA's Top All American cheerleader award her senior year. Monica is trained in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, pointe and now really enjoys modern, thanks to Marissa's awesome modern dance for Spring Show '08. Monica serves as Texas Dance's treasurer and is also a member of UT's American Marketing Association. She works part time at the Law Offices of Richard Pena and is preparing to apply to law schools this fall. Besides dancing and hanging out with her lovely Texas Dance ladies, Monica enjoys playing with her poodle, Bailey, eating at Austin's yummy restaurants, playing trivia at Plucker's and going downtown with Nikita and Kayla. =) <3 <3 <3
